Conversations on Teacher Education: Global Perspectives
April 7-12, 2008
Topic description: In April/May 2008 a Working Forum for Teacher Educators will be
hosted by New Zealand Tertiary College in Auckland, New Zealand, in partnership
with the World Forum Foundation. The Working Forum will facilitate the sharing
of techniques, objectives, philosophies and perspectives among teacher educators
from around the world to enable them to improve their effectiveness in working
with early childhood teachers as they educate, guide and support them in working
with families and young children. Working Forum sessions for teacher educators
will focus on: bicultural and multicultural contexts; human development;
inclusion; relationships; the role of technology in program delivery;
curriculum; adult education; and policy. Join us for these online conversations
and share your perspective on issues, trends and effective practices in teacher
education.
