I own a 15 employee, 45 licensed childcare center in Wisconsin. My problem is training. I talked several years ago to the DWD about state required training. At that time I was told that I could pay a "training wage" as long as the told pay for the number of hours, including work hours for the week paid at least minimum wage. I pay for all training but I could not include this cost, which generally is more than what they would make on the hourly wage anyway. Since most of my employees did not have the cost of the workshops, they are happy with this. Is this still a workable solution? deb Lynch
