I work for a Child Care Resource and Referral agency in Joliet, IL as a manager of the child care department. In our agency we are told that managers are exempt employees because we (In theory) have the capacity to hire and fire employees. Is this also a guideline in addition to the $23,700 wage change that DOL made? Thanks--this is very interesting. Paula Steffen
