My question expands on the issue of termination when using at-will. If a person is terminated at-will how does this affect unemployment? Is the employer required to document specific instances (excessive absenteeism, tardiness, poor work performance, etc.) to justify the termination? In our area there is a difference of opinion on how at-will terminations are or can be handled.
