Deb, I am assuming in framing my answer that this course is required as continuing education for employees already employed by your center. What I suggest is that the employees are required to submit weekly time sheets for the hours spent on the correspondence course. You might also consider requiring them to show you the work they have done (homework, worksheets, if these are part of the training) at the time they submit the time sheets. This way you can spread the payments over time and not take a one time hit on their training hours.
