The session that was most meaningful to me was "Why is recruitment so Hard?" -Albrecht...This session allowed me to understand that "recruitment" is a problem and an on-going process. Recruitment issues relate to both "children" and "staff". The Leadership Connection Conference provided me the opportunity to meet other colleagues, and share conflicts and resolutions regarding programatic issues. By meeting other colleagues in the state of Illnois and out of state allowed us to hear several suggestions to what may work or be a good fit for your program. It allowed all of us to know that "We are not in this alone". This dialogue included current trends in leadership and child care that impact administrators.
