The conference session that I attended that was the most meaningful for me was: NAEYC's Updated Accreditation System.Our Center has been accredidated under the old NAEYC system 4 times and we will be up for re-newal in July 2009. I had read through the self-study materials and thought that I had a good handle on the new system. After attending this conference session, I realized that there is much that I do not know about the new system and our Center has lots to prepare for prior to our validation visit a year from now. Allen Rosales, the presentor, was very knowledgable and shared his first hand experience and relections from taking two centers thorugh the new NAEYC Accreditation. Allen's ideas and practical experience, especially creating classroom literacy walls to document the classroom work and also documentating how the early learning standards are met was amazing. The time flew by and my head is still swimming! Julie Allen
