This was my first Leadership Conference. My fellow directors have gone in the past and encouraged me to join them this year. I am very glad I did. Not only was this a great opportunity to learn new skills, it was a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow early child care professionals. I was amazed at the number of participants from other states. I live in Illinois but work in Iowa so I see the differences in the "state" of child care from both states perspectives. It was interesting to hear about what other states are doing. I came back to work on Monday feeling rejuvenated and couldn't wait to share what was learned with fellow co-workers. I know I will be attending again next year!
