Good analogy...they are intertwined. Just like buying woven cloth, people see the end product and decide what it is worth based on it's final look, often ignorant to the process and labor it took to make it. I don't mean ignorant in a critical or judgemental way, just that we tend to understand or pay attention to what it seen. But a pricey cloth is usually so because on the intricacy and intensity of the materials and the process to make the final product.
