I think some ways to help would be to remember that each child is unique and should be listened to, responded to and respected. Children should be encouraged to take the next step. A caring teacher, child, relation- ship has a great impact on learning. When children feel loved they learn best and they learn by doing. The interest and spark will ignite as the teacher scaffolds The environment should be loving, safe and healthy. I also agree with Dorothy's comments. JoAnn
