I also agree with Eileen and Ann's points about the difficulty in schedules for teachers. The desire for control over the environment- seems to show a "good teacher" in many centers. I agree, when children are free to make their own choices- it may look like chaos. when in actual, it is best practice! the messier- the better.
The challenge and focus should be to help teachers see the value of setting a stage which allows many choices and encourage flexibility in the schedule.
