Hi everyone, my name is Lisa and I am working with Selena at NZTC as we rapidly move to offering our online program. For those of you whom have read Selena's earlier post I can update you that our lovely Auckland Autumn day has now turned rainy and dull. In other words a perfect day for online discussions!

My role in NZTC's move to online learning is as a researcher documenting the journey of the college. I must confess that the lecturer side of me finding it very hard to sit back and gather information rather than actually being online and "doing it". However as more data comes in I am getting more and more excited about what we are finding out. At present I am busy gathering the thoughts, feelings and expectations about online learning from both lecturers and students prior to starting our initial pilot program. Already I have picked up on concerns from lecturers about student's 24/7 expectations as expressed in an earlier thread. I look forward to finding out if this is a true reflection of our students expectations.

Oh and a special hi to lurking Linda, I have always been lurking Lisa when I have been involved in online discussions previously so I am taking a big step out of my comfort zone. I am really looking forward to tapping into all the expertise here and at the World Forum.
