At my agency supervisors are allowed to verify the job title, start date, and end date. All other inquiries are handled by the Human Resource department.

No, I do not think we share information that helps with hiring decisions. Information that could be critical for working with children is held in confidential records. For example, if a employee has poor work habits such as excessive tardiness or absentism, this information is not shared with the future employer.

We are not free to state whether we would or would not rehire a former employee as a matter of agency policy.
