You have the power to include the following statement in your program's job descriptions:

"Maintaining a gossip-free work environment is an essential function of this job."

Imagine that!

This puts every hire on notice that you have a zero tolerance for gossip policy.

Gossiping is communicating about another person who is not present with the intention to harm that person's reputation. Listening to gossip is gossiping

How do you feel about taking a stand against gossip and negativity?
