Hi Candice, Great question .I feel the atmosphere of the center can certainly make a difference. If I were touring I would look for pictures of children and families displayed that represent diversity also information and literature about the center written in other languages. I would like to see multiethnic and multicultural children’s books videos and music also evidence of an anti-bias attitude toward children and staff. If you serve meals, make sure you are developing menus that reflect diversity. Make sure you advertise in the places that service specific groups ex: churches and other places of worship, community centers and local organizations. I really feel it is worth the effort.Thanks, Marsha
