Hi Nina, I am a graduate student in the ECE program at National Louis, thank you again for taking time to share your expertise and insight with us!! Like Kelli, I am having a difficult time explaining to parents the benefits of play and how it enhances their child's development. I try to explain that extensive research has been done on the subject, but it seems that some parents are not understanding. They can't see how center time, for example, is productive. Do you have any suggestions for an article or study that goes into great detail about why young children learn from play and how it affects their development??? I have read so much about the subject, but I would appreciate your imput!!! Thanks.

Katie
