I think understanding the child's intelligence type at at early age is so critical. This sets the tone, structure and set up of the room. I use these not as standardized, strict assessments, rather through a means of obervation and recording. How does the child learn and interact best? Does the child stick to themself or prefer to be social? Does the child learn better through hands on science or by books and dialogue? Does the child move about and learn with their whole body? These are the types of questions I use when understanding the individual child's intelligence type. From this I create a learning environment that is welcoming and comfortable for the individual child.
