Hi Nina,

I'm a graduate student at National-Louis, in the ECA online cohort program. I really enjoyed reading the Mind in the Making website. I particularly enjoyed reading the tips for promoting early learning by connecting (building relationships), watch & listen (understanding what children are trying to understand) & extend (furthering children's inquiries). I shared this information with two of my co-workers that are first time parents and they were thrilled.

The Mind in the Making website mentions that the public is becoming more aware that children are born learners, yet there are roadblocks to their success in school. Can you please discuss or mention some of the roadblocks found in your research?
