I think kids are learning from the time they are born. I dont think it really ever ends. They absorb so much information in those first few moments of life. And even more in the first 3 years. I always pointed to things for my sons, and named them. While i cleaned i told them what i was doing. When i bathed them i labeled the body parts, etc... Communication was a big one for me and them. When they learned to talk, i was amazed at what they knew and could name already. Even now as a 42 year old, i am still learning. I dont think there is such a thing as too young or to old to learn.
