Actually Jessica, there is a conversation about Pre-K occurring across the country that is including parents, teachers in preschool and elementary education, college and university administrators and business and community leaders. I sat in today on the National Conference call which was hosted by PreK Now where the discussion was focused on preschool Literacy. The brief but very informative call information can be accessed on their website at www.preknow.org in about a week or so. Previous conference calls have been documented there as well and there are related information links to research and findings.

I would recommend that you take a look at the information. Although much is still to be learned from programs in Georgia and New Jersey, many states are pressing forward to begin to identify the critical components for their communities.
