I have a specific question on a particular standard. Standard 4.52 states that "Diapering and toileting areas are separated from food areas." My kitchen is separated into two areas - the food preparation area (where sink, counter tops stove etc are) and then the dining area. Directly attached to the dining area is a desk like area that has been permanently built in. I use this desk area for changing diapers. I have a pad on there, with diapers and wipes etc. My question is, I consider this to be part of the kitchen. It is about 6 feet or so from the table where we eat. Will I need to find a new diapering area, or is this okay?
