I'm not able to link the standards (because I'm a technoweenie, probably) but they are available at nafcc.org. Our website is being redesigned but the last time I checked it they were still up. The fourth edition became effective October 1. Part of the process includes gathering information from observer training and from providers going through the self-study process. We also consider new information from experts in other areas in revising the standards. The suggested revisions are reviewed by the NAFCC Accreditation Commission, the Accreditation Council, experts in the field, and the NAFCC board of directors. Comments and information are always welcome - you can send that information through the website or to individual staff at NAFCC>
