Getting Started with Desktop Publishing and
Digital Marketing

Full-day,
interactive workshop for early childhood administrators providing an
introduction to desktop publishing and the electronic distribution of
documents. Learn how to layout and design effective promotional materials
for your program using Microsoft® Office Publisher 2007. Discuss
methods for distributing publications electronically via today's "hot"
Internet-based communication tools. Participants will depart with a lengthy
list of resources and have access to follow-up technical assistance online.
This workshop will be held on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at John A. Logan College (map and directions) in bldg/room F111. A lunch break will be provided. All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance. College credit from John A. Logan College is also available. Participants can register on-site.
Partial funding for this workshop is provided by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). Participant portion of the training cost is only $45. Additional scholarship funds to cover this fee may be available. Enrollment is limited and priority will be given to administrators whose programs serve IDHS-funded children.
